ABOUT MARIBEL CRUZ

Maribel grew up just outside of Sugarland, Texas and obtained her undergraduate degree from University of Houston-Downtown. She attended law school at South Texas College of Law where she obtained her third year bar card and immediately began learning how to advocate for her clients.

Licensed in 2003, Maribel began her practice with a large insurance defense firm honing her trial skills in the south Texas counties from Bexar County to Web County and down to the Valley. She obtained her Federal Court licenses in the Southern, Western, and Northern Districts Courts of Texas and worked on several appeals court cases as well as many adversarial hearings and trials.

She later began representing small businesses by forming their business entities and helping them with their litigation issues. At this time, she began working with families in their child related cases and divorces. It was at this time that she realized family law was her passion. Soon her practice focused solely on families.

Her love of the courtroom and family law brought her to join a nationwide law firm focusing only on family law. This is where she found her passion for the law and for the adversarial process. As lead litigator, she was charged with teaching junior attorneys the art of conducting family focused trials and negotiation.

In 2018, Maribel created her own law firm focused on helping San Antonio families navigate the dangerous family law waters. With the goal of providing direction in the legal process, the firm devotes its energy to transparency in the litigation process. Her skills in the courtroom are unparalleled in preparation for every eventuality.  She possesses the grit and tenacity to fight when needed. Clients' goals and objectives are discussed in detail prior to the start of a case so as to fully understand each client's position and streamlining the case strategy. While aggressive when needed, compassion is her goal.
